The rotor pump current is too large, which may be caused by the following reasons: The outlet pressure is too high. Check whether the outlet pipeline is blocked and whether the opening of the outlet valve is appropriate; the melt viscosity is too high; the shaft seal is poorly matched; the shaft or bearing is worn; and the motor is faulty.


There is no flow in the rotor pump, which may be caused by the following reasons: The rotor rotates in the opposite direction. The direction of rotation of the rotor is very important to the rotor pump. If the direction of rotation is reversed, the inlet of the pump becomes the outlet, and the outlet becomes the inlet. At this time, there will naturally be no medium flowing out of the outlet. Check the direction of rotation and correct the wrong direction according to the mark on the pump; close the suction or discharge side pipeline valve. Check whether the suction or discharge side pipeline valve is closed. If closed, open the valve; there is no medium at the inlet or the pressure is too low. Although the rotor pump has a strong self-priming function, it has a certain limit. If the liquid level is too low, the rotor pump will not be able to absorb liquid, resulting in no flow of the pump; the safety valve is not closed tightly; the viscosity is too high, and the pump cannot bite the material.


The sudden stop of the rotor pump may be caused by the following reasons: power outage; motor overload protection; coupling damage; outlet pressure being too high, interlock reaction; abnormal bite in the pump; or shaft and bearing stuck.


Insufficient flow of the rotor pump may be caused by the following reasons: Low inlet pressure. Check the inlet pipeline to ensure that the pressure reaches the specified requirements, otherwise, cavitation may occur; the inlet pipeline is blocked; the rotor is severely worn and leaks; there are safety valve problems. Check whether the safety valve is not tightly sealed; the rotation speed is too low; the viscosity is too low. The working range of the pump needs to be checked and re-selected if necessary.


The rotor pump has abnormal vibration and noise, which may be caused by the following reasons: large coupling eccentricity or poor lubrication; gas in the pump; motor failure; abnormal reducer; poor installation of the shaft seal; shaft deformation or wear.
