From July 16 to 18, 2026, Landpack participated in MIMF 2026 Malaysia at the Malaysia International Trade & Exhibition Centre (MITEC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
During the three-day exhibition, the Landpack team welcomed manufacturers, distributors and packaging industry professionals at Hall 2, Booth X27–X28.
Visitors brought different products, packaging samples and production requirements to the booth, creating opportunities for detailed discussions about packing machines, filling machines and complete automated packaging lines.
For many visitors, the main question was not simply which machine to buy. Instead, discussions focused on how different products should be weighed or filled, which packaging format would be suitable, how much automation was required and how new equipment could be connected with an existing production process.
These face-to-face conversations made MIMF 2026 an important opportunity for Landpack to better understand packaging requirements in Malaysia and other Southeast Asian markets.
Malaysia has a diverse manufacturing industry covering food processing, beverages, sauces and condiments, coffee, snacks, agricultural products, household chemicals and personal care products.
These industries also create very different packaging requirements.
A manufacturer packing seasoning powder may need accurate dosing and dust control. A sauce producer may require a filling system capable of handling different viscosities, while a snack manufacturer may focus more on weighing accuracy, packaging speed and reducing product breakage.
At MIMF 2026, Landpack discussed these different requirements directly with visitors and helped them evaluate possible packaging solutions based on their actual products and production conditions.
Rather than recommending equipment immediately, our team first discussed key project information such as:
1. Product characteristics.
2. Filling weight or volume.
3. Bag, bottle, jar, cup or container type.
4. Packaging material and package dimensions.
5. Target production speed.

Understanding these details helps determine which feeding, weighing, filling, sealing and downstream packaging technologies are suitable for each project.
Free-flowing granular products such as nuts, beans, candies and snacks can often be handled by multihead weighers or linear weighing systems.
Powders such as seasoning powder, milk powder, coffee powder, flour and nutritional powders may require auger filling systems, screw feeders and dust-control structures.
Liquids and sauces require another approach. The filling method must be selected according to viscosity, filling volume, particle content and other product characteristics. Depending on the application, piston pumps, gear pumps, rotor pumps or other filling systems may be used.

Several discussions during MIMF 2026 reflected the different packaging challenges manufacturers currently face.
Some visitors were planning completely new production lines, while others already had filling or packaging equipment and wanted to automate the remaining manual processes.
The projects discussed covered premade pouch packaging, vertical bagging, powder filling, liquid filling, bottle packaging, coding, weight inspection, cartoning, case packing and robotic palletizing.
Instead of discussing only machine models and production speeds, Landpack’s team worked with visitors to understand how products move through the complete production process.
The following customer discussions demonstrate how different products and packaging formats require different equipment configurations.
Another discussion involved a manufacturer evaluating an automatic filling solution for liquid and sauce products.
The manufacturer wanted to improve filling automation while maintaining flexibility for products with different viscosities.
Sauce packaging can become more complicated when the same production facility handles several products. A relatively free-flowing liquid and a thick sauce may behave very differently during pumping and filling.
The customer also needed to consider container format, filling volume, cleaning requirements and future production expansion.
Landpack discussed several possible liquid filling and packaging solutions depending on the final package format.
For premade spout pouches, a spout pouch filling and capping machine can integrate pouch feeding, filling, cap feeding and automatic capping.
For bottled products, a complete filling line can include:

Granular and snack products were another important category discussed with visitors at MIMF 2026.
One project involved a manufacturer interested in reducing manual weighing and bagging for different snack and granular food products.
The products could vary in size, density and shape, creating different requirements for feeding, weighing and product discharge.
For this type of application, Landpack discussed a vertical form fill seal machine combined with a multihead weigher.
A typical automatic packaging line can include:
1. Product feeding.
2. Z-type or inclined conveying.
3. Multihead weighing.
4. Automatic film forming.
5. Product filling.
6. Bag sealing.

This type of system can be configured for products such as nuts, dried fruit, candies, cereal, beans, puffed snacks, frozen foods and other granular materials.
However, the weighing and feeding systems must still be selected according to the actual product.
Fragile snacks may require carefully adjusted feeding parameters to reduce breakage, while sticky or oily products may require different contact surfaces, hopper structures or discharge systems.
The discussion therefore moved beyond machine speed and focused on how the complete feeding, weighing and packaging process would handle the customer’s products during daily production.
A noticeable trend during customer discussions at MIMF 2026 was that more manufacturers were interested in complete automation rather than standalone machines.
For some factories, primary packaging had already been automated, but cartoning, case packing or palletizing still depended heavily on manual labor.
Other manufacturers were planning new factories and wanted to consider the complete process from product feeding to finished pallet from the beginning.
